Ok; straight to the point, Olive Garden hasn’t changed much in all my years of grubbing there. The wife and I love hitting restaurants for happy hours, eating specials, coupons, you-name-it. Today, we tested the never ending salad/soup/breadsticks. I’m a Pescatarian so I’m always excited at the prospect of gauging how well salads and soups hold my hunger. The service was great, fast, engaging small talk and helpful insights into the meal selections. Since I’m Pescatarian, I rode the Minestrone hard (two whole bowls) with heavy cheese. Really good and filling stuff. Between the two soups, one order of salad and one order of breadsticks, I was happily content. My wife tried the other three and reported this particular order of her likes: Chicken & Gnocchi, Pasta E Fagioli, Zuppa Toscana. All three were close so no blow away favorites. The cheesesticks may have stolen the show, not too cheesy with tangy marinara sauce.
