Gratitude Journal Day 18: Saturday, 10/17/2020

Gratitude Journal that exemplifies the perspective & mindset of being grateful

Why keep a Gratitude Journal at all? (This is the saaaaaame intro for every Gratitude Journal entry. It’s here for the newbies to the journey.)

I try to start everyday with a Grateful heart. *duck face* Potna, I ain’t lying. You can check my IG accounts Queen/King. I get a lil raunchy on the Multiple_Sclerosis_Outlaw but I’m calmer, gentle with allthingsonelove. On both, I start my day sharing Gratitudes, stories of Gratitude and anything related to being Grateful. I’m dead ass serious about my Gratitudes because it keeps me present and accountable for my own energy. I recognize and appreciate the actions, words and energy of others intending me good. By starting my day with Gratitude, I have less MS pain, MS symptoms and MS depression because I’m actively pushing my thoughts towards a positive direction of Gratitude. My relationships with others are stronger because my Grateful ass notices what others do for me, to me, WITH me. *bows* I could go on and on and on and on about the benefits of being purposefully grateful buuuuuut… *whispers* Pssst, you know I wrote about it…

Why I chose THIS to start my day

It is the weekend and I have BIG plans on building, branding, blogging and learning. With that being said, it is the weekend, I am a family man and will NOT mess stuff trying to be busy or productive. Some shit is gonna happen and I’m NOT gone freak TF out. What could happen? Weeeeeell, maybe we wanna go somewhere but waiting on dem kids to finish their chores. I will NOT get frustrated with how long it takes them. If it takes my Queen forever and a day to pick what we’re eating, when we’re eating, I will NOT act all super hungry and stuff. If these courses are longer and harder than anticipate, I will NOT break down and start guessing to get it over with. When shit happens on this Saturday, I am ready READY.

3.) Grateful my e-learning matched my JOB training! 🤔 BOI, am I! I ground out 2 re-certification courses after the gig and passed. 👏🏾👏🏾 (Thank you. Thank you. I gave myself props and everything yesterday.) The next day at WORK, those saaaaaame subjects were the topic of our training. DAMN RIGHT. I balled OUT like I had been doing this. I was participating (Which I always do because I used to be a teacher.). Everything I answered was correct. Classmates were impressed (🤐 I was WRONG a bunch the day before.). Yeeeeaaaaaah, I finished up Friday on GOOD note and felt stronger about my abilities and potential. 💪🏾

2.) NEW, fancy, red pens & expo markers 💡💡*clapping like a member of the Klumps* Oooooo! Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. YES! I love the opportunities to organize and rewrite my notes. I can color code my blog ideas. I can write my motivational messages on bathroom mirrors. Y’ALL. I’m one of DEM. DEM the people that get darn near turned ON by putting together notebooks and binders, copiously copying material in search of the “perfect” study guide. 👨🏿‍🏫 Told ya. I’m a former teacher, son of teachers and my mother-in-law is a librarian. Daaaaaaawg, I GETS with learning, inspiration, quotes, ALL that. GRATEFUL I can redo some stuff and KEEP myself going forward.

1.) PS4 controllers were charged! 🤜🏾🤛🏾👏🏾 GURL. 😜 My 9th grader is a “gamer”. My 2nd grader is a wannabe “gamer”. Then, there’s me. Daddy. Certified PS4 player of like 3 games, Skyrim, Destiny & Madden. I can’t tell you the frustration of getting up before the moon sleeps, doing your self-care, settling down to play a little video games while nobody bothers you and AAAARRRRRRGGHH!!!! The controllers are DEAD. Ain’t NO quietly gaming and chilling witcha self because dem kids ran BOTH joysticks (Showing my age huh?! 😉) not to blinking, red but ZERO battery. 😭😭😭😭 By the time they charge up, everybody is awake and your DL time is over. Finito. Finished. Not THIS morning! One was gone, my favorite one but the other was 100% ready. 🙏🏾🙏🏾 I jumped on Madden, got it out my system and back to the J-O-B. #GratefulAF
