Gratitude Journal Day 55: Monday, 11/23/2020

3 personal stories of Gratitude from a King THRIVING despite Primary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis

Why keep a Gratitude Journal at all? (This is the saaaaaame intro for every Gratitude Journal entry. It’s here for the newbies to the journey.)

I try to start everyday with a Grateful heart. *duck face* Potna, I ain’t lying. You can check my IG accounts Queen/King. I get a lil raunchy on the Multiple_Sclerosis_Outlaw but I’m calmer, gentle with allthingsonelove. On both, I start my day sharing Gratitudes, stories of Gratitude and anything related to being Grateful. I’m dead ass serious about my Gratitudes because it keeps me present and accountable for my own energy. I recognize and appreciate the actions, words and energy of others intending me good. By starting my day with Gratitude, I have less MS pain, MS symptoms and MS depression because I’m actively pushing my thoughts towards a positive direction of Gratitude. My relationships with others are stronger because my Grateful ass notices what others do for me, to me, WITH me. *bows* I could go on and on and on and on about the benefits of being purposefully grateful buuuuuut… *whispers* Pssst, you know I wrote about it…

Why I chose THIS to start my day

This is LINK to my video for today! I’m trying to TALK with y’all more. *fist bump*

3.) AWWWW, my daughters put up the Christmas decorations.  😢 Yoo. This is about the KIDS. I’m NOT with the overall concept of Christmas, shopping (folks SPENDING more that giving), Santa, none of it. I go through the motions every year because I’m a father of 4, husband to one. Sunday was FLY thaaaaaaan a MUTHAFUGGA, 2 trees up, decorations, TV had a crackling fire showing, old school Christmas music, they did the damn thing. 👏🏽👏🏽 It gave the crib a real, low key, quiet, holiday vibe as I rolled back and forth wondering why the house so freezing, cold when the thermostat reads 81°. 😂🤣😂🤣

2.) Indica 💨💨 Bro, indica strains of cannabis get a bad rap. Sometimes; well, a LOT of times with my PPMS, Primary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis, I need help being still. As disabled as I am, I’m busier than ever and since I dig EVERYTHING I do, (Yup, my job too.) I actually WANT to do it all. There’s the catch, I have PPMS so I must manage energy, prioritize wellness, etc. Indica keeps me still, sane, SLEEP (If it’s a good one.). I had a THREE hour nap on Sunday and didn’t recover until bedtime! 🤣🤣🤣 BOI am I grateful for that since I lost an hour of sleep due to noisy kids on Christmas break. 😉

1.) NO webcams at work tomorrow! 👀📸💻 YES! See, the work-from-home gig required webcams through training. It made sense that a company wants SOME kinda way to monitor activity, control employees and all that stuff. Today is no longer training; I’m the real deal BABY and it’s no longer a requirement. No longer must I RUSH a shave or shower; I can wear my PJs like a BOSS again. (Okay. I was wearing PJs ON webcam but NOW, I ain’t gotta worry bout my shirt being wrinkled, mismatched or *looking for snitches* if I JUST wore it. 😉😆 *files fingers* Yup, I’ll accept that beautiful ability to shortcut my day. 😋♿ I’m allowed a break every 2 hours too? That means… I can do #yoga during breaks like I used too! I can close my eyes to #meditate, snack on my healthy, anti-inflammatory #foodismedicine stuff, BLOG a little, goof off and send memes, respond to texts, holler at my kids bout all that racket, kiss the Queen since it IS work-from-home. The options are LIMITLESS! ✊🏾🙌🏾🙏🏾
