Gratitude Journal #57: Wednesday, 11/25/2020

3 personal stories of Gratitude involving 3am phone calls, medical notes and the new podcast, Dats the Way I Feel.

Why keep a Gratitude Journal at all? (This is the saaaaaame intro for every Gratitude Journal entry. It’s here for the newbies to the journey.)

I try to start everyday with a Grateful heart. *duck face* Potna, I ain’t lying. You can check my IG accounts Queen/King. I get a lil raunchy on the Multiple_Sclerosis_Outlaw but I’m calmer, gentle with allthingsonelove. On both, I start my day sharing Gratitudes, stories of Gratitude and anything related to being Grateful. I’m dead ass serious about my Gratitudes because it keeps me present and accountable for my own energy. I recognize and appreciate the actions, words and energy of others intending me good. By starting my day with Gratitude, I have less MS pain, MS symptoms and MS depression because I’m actively pushing my thoughts towards a positive direction of Gratitude. My relationships with others are stronger because my Grateful ass notices what others do for me, to me, WITH me. *bows* I could go on and on and on and on about the benefits of being purposefully grateful buuuuuut… *whispers* Pssst, you know I wrote about it…

Why I chose THIS to start my day…

3.) Found my LAST doctor note! 🙏🏾 Oooooooo…. 🎺 Cue the drama but slang the perspective. I did 8 weeks of training for ONE of my current gigs, had several discussions about my Multiple Sclerosis and even my blog on changing YOUR mindset to THRIVE beyond negativity. On day 2 of actual employment, I get that “we-need-medical-proof” request. 🙄 Scared TF outta me and I bust my HUMP to find it, get it to managers, HR department and whoever else felt like they needed it. Once I got over the shock and fear of the request, it was right where I thought it would be. GURL! 🙌🏾 I’m not even mad or tripping after I found it. I would be concerned today but I’m not. It’s Wednesday, Hump Day, I woke UP helping others dealing with bad news, tough situations and finished the call making the OTHER side laugh several times. Hearing HER laugh and express appreciation for my immediate 3am response has set my day on such an awesome wave of energy. I’m grateful for finding the medical note. I’m happy about that 3am call.

2.) Chopped it up with the homie 📲📞 It was LONG overdue. Not a text but actual phone call. Family, projects, hustles, future plans, adjustments were all on table. I appreciate him taking time to chop with me, listen to MY shit and backdoor with questions that made me reconsider a few things.

1.) Podcast? DONE. 🎧🎤💻 Boom. Bam. So, what is the podcast about? 2 Kings learning to THRIVE with Primary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis. What does that mean? It means the basis of the podcast is HOW 2 MS’ers treat Primary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis, some ways are similar but in other ways, they’re vastly different. We discuss wellness, our personal diagnoses, what worked, what failed and set the “table” for MORE podcasts. This platform will spark processional growth and build my network. It grants me opportunities to counsel others and hone my skill set. I’m grateful for the amazing connection with my co-host of the Dat’s The Way I Feel podcast!
