Gratitude Journal Day 59: Black Friday, 11/27/2020

3 personal stories of Gratitude from a King THRIVING despite Primary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis AND a vlog entry!

Why keep a Gratitude Journal at all? (This is the saaaaaame intro for every Gratitude Journal entry. It’s here for the newbies to the journey.)

I try to start everyday with a Grateful heart. *duck face* Potna, I ain’t lying. You can check my IG accounts Queen/King. I get a lil raunchy on the Multiple_Sclerosis_Outlaw but I’m calmer, gentle with allthingsonelove. On both, I start my day sharing Gratitudes, stories of Gratitude and anything related to being Grateful. I’m dead ass serious about my Gratitudes because it keeps me present and accountable for my own energy. I recognize and appreciate the actions, words and energy of others intending me good. By starting my day with Gratitude, I have less MS pain, MS symptoms and MS depression because I’m actively pushing my thoughts towards a positive direction of Gratitude. My relationships with others are stronger because my Grateful ass notices what others do for me, to me, WITH me. *bows* I could go on and on and on and on about the benefits of being purposefully grateful buuuuuut… *whispers* Pssst, you know I wrote about it…

Why I chose THIS to start my day…

Vlog entry today. Jam what I’m quoting with me! YOUR thoughts shape YOUR vision. YOU see what YOU choose to see.

3.) Had my 1st sugar in 17 days! 🍩It was soooooo freaking good too. My eldest made cinnamon rolls with a cream cheese icing that tasted like NOTHING cream cheese. They were soft, warm and just enough icing to be goooood without leaving a mess. My other daughter made cookies. The Queen made glazed, blueberry muffins and OTHER treats. I had strawberry muffins (gluten free, sugar free) but I wrecked ALL mines and dove into the sweets like it was a cheat day. I was kinda disappointed that eating so much sugar didn’t have immediate consequences. 🤣😂😂

2.) My National Day Off Dinner! Salmon, greens, quinoa with sweet potatoes and pomegranates… Ohhhh, it is waaaaaaaay better than my picture. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

Daaaaaaaaawg. 🤤 I almost spilled my plate trying to take a PROFESSIONAL picture for readers & followers!

1.) Found a REAL ass connection between liquor & MS symptoms.♿🥃✋🏾I had my 1st DRANK in 17 days and THOSE effects were immediate, noticeable and I had to share. Number one, the liquor didn’t cause shaking like I anticipated; it was the tingling. The tingling where you don’t know if you’re holding a cup or not so you end up dropping drinks. Matter fact, I spilled my only glass of vodka about 1/2 through a STRONG drink. 💆🏽‍♂️ When I woke up, my body was stiffer than usual, less responsive. My shaking was intense enough that I drank water from the sink until it calmed down. THAT entire ordeal made the connection between liquor, water and symptoms clear AF to me. WATER, WATER AND MORE WATER when consuming alcohol. My brain was foggy and my head was heavy with sleep, or exhaustion. My feet curl up in neurosis pain so hard that it gives a charley horse type pain along my calves. I’m thinking ALL this is directly related to the ONE drink I didn’t even finish. I’m grateful AF to SEE and FEEL the connections between it all. I read about it but since I was SUCH an avid opponent of sobriety, I didn’t care. Liquor eased the physical pain and I was allergic to pain. Now, going forward, I have opportunities to improve and I’ll damn sho get BETTER.
