Gratitude Journal Day #60: Saturday, 11/28/2020

3 personal stories of Gratitude from a King THRIVING despite Primary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis

Why keep a Gratitude Journal at all? (This is the saaaaaame intro for every Gratitude Journal entry. It’s here for the newbies to the journey.)

I try to start everyday with a Grateful heart. *duck face* Potna, I ain’t lying. You can check my IG accounts Queen/King. I get a lil raunchy on the Multiple_Sclerosis_Outlaw but I’m calmer, gentle with allthingsonelove. On both, I start my day sharing Gratitudes, stories of Gratitude and anything related to being Grateful. I’m dead ass serious about my Gratitudes because it keeps me present and accountable for my own energy. I recognize and appreciate the actions, words and energy of others intending me good. By starting my day with Gratitude, I have less MS pain, MS symptoms and MS depression because I’m actively pushing my thoughts towards a positive direction of Gratitude. My relationships with others are stronger because my Grateful ass notices what others do for me, to me, WITH me. *bows* I could go on and on and on and on about the benefits of being purposefully grateful buuuuuut… *whispers* Pssst, you know I wrote about it…

Why I chose THIS to start my day…

Say homie, I LOVE my life. *doesn’t blink* For real, for real. I didn’t START like this. Ain’t nobody EVER accused me of being “positive” or optimistic. Shhhiiii, my POPS tells me I’m UN-grateful. 🤷🏾‍♂️ But, real talk, I bust my ass building this version of me. I am STILL busting my ass building ME. I enjoy the process. My Gratitude Journal helps track my progress, direct my #energy/inner G and empower my soul. #FoodIsMedicine, yoga and regular exercise boost my body. The platforms that I engage, Tribes I follow, give my heart WINGS. I feel GREAT after chopping with them over text, Marco Polo, Zoom, podcast, phone call, everything! My blog feeds my mind because I’m constantly trying to BETTER it and IT is about mindset, Gratitude, Attitude, Passion and the tools I promote as defenses and protections. My whole life is built around me being #BETTER at being ME. 💪🏾

3.) Got my 1st OT shifts 💰 Holidays next month and I wanna do SOME-thing with the Fam, for the Queen and kids, maybe scoop couple’s tattoos. I was daydreaming about needing a few extra hundred for X-mas when BOOM, I got my first required OT shift. We had to work 1 of 3 days. I took ALL 3. 🤣🤣 I ain’t tripping because I work from HOME, wife is HOME-schooling dem kids and I’m disabled so I ain’t going nowhere anyway. That’s how much my perspective has changed. I didn’t see the OT shift as “Aaaw. DAMN, they WOULD give ME blah blah blah, yada yada yada.” I’m straight up crunk off the timing, hype I could get 3 days and giddy the check hits X-mas DAY. 🤜🏾🤛🏾

2.) AMC’s Soul Mates 📺📺 GURL. I am digging this show on AMC so much that the Queen and I spent 2 consecutive nights watching season 1. Hell, when we woke up, we dove RIGHT back in. The premise? Geeeez, I was getting there. 😉 Easy because I’m blogging it later. Some company devises a way to find your “soul mate” using some fancy ass, elaborate than a MUG, expensive technique involving blood work, DNA, the whole, invasive shebang of PERSONAL, information. From there, folks are getting divorces before meeting because the system/site/service/company found their soul mates, sacrificing their entire wealth to meet their soul mates and more. It’s crazy interesting and an absolutely HELLACIOUS conversational piece. The wife and I STAY talking, comparing, commenting and acting out scenes and situations from the episodes. I’ll stop there or there won’t be a need for a blog post about it! 🤣😂

1.) Texas Grapefruits 🍊🍊🍊 (I KNOW those are oranges 🙄) If you haven’t enjoyed a TEXAS grapefruit, seen the size of that sucker… I can’t find words that paint the portrait you should envision. A TEXAS grapefruit is twice the size of regular, ‘ol grapefruits, twice the girth, twice the sweet flavor. When you use your grapefruit spoon, you can actually cut into the body of the fruit, grub on chunks (CHUNKS ya hear?! 😋) and feel FULL afterwards. Well, I do. When I don’t have TEXAS grapefruits, I’m eating two smaller, regular ones at one time. It’s nowhere near as good and takes sooooo much MORE time. Yoo, *bows* to the farmers, logistics, suppliers and stores.

#Gratitude #Grateful #Perspective #Goals #Grind #Passion #Purpose #Passion #AllAboutYou #MindOverReality BUT put some #Growth and #Perspective on it!
