YAAAAAAAAAAS!! The lil handicapped homie got his MS tattoo and, And, AAAANNNND found a new spot to lay low. In my life, that’s a solid win . The artist (Mikey) is Uber talented and his attention to detail was a delight. We went back and forth by text message over the idea for a few days and THEN spent time before he started getting everything just right. I can’t tell you how comforting that was. Look, I got plenty of tats but usually it’s a quick brainstorm drawing and game on. It has taken me a strong two years of thought and research to develop my idea. All that really means is I’m 100% vested in this tattoo and armed with rich symbolism and harmonious acronyms to not only defend it but market this to the public and… *looking scared* my Momma. I know y’all wanna know pricing so I’ll say this, it was worth every penny. Seriously! I would’ve dropped another $150 without tripping or even arguing because the tattoo was THAT good and he just brought my idea to life. He gave me breaks (big bc I have MS), played all kinds of jams (I got three new artists in my playlist) and generally enjoyed the conversation. #MikeyForMayor Yoooo, even the owner was cool telling stories and stuff. A few kinda nervous looking female clients came in for work. Both times the guys had them cool and smiling within minutes, one was young with her Dad and one had her 4th kid graduate. I’m definitely bringing my senior because she’s earned it and I just wanna be THAT kinda Daddy. Wife, brother, my whole squad loves the work.
