Why keep a Gratitude Journal at all? (This is the saaaaaame intro for every Gratitude Journal entry. It’s here for the newbies to the journey.)
I try to start everyday with a Grateful heart. *duck face* Potna, I ain’t lying. You can check my IG accounts Queen/King. I get a lil raunchy on the Multiple_Sclerosis_Outlaw but I’m calmer, gentle with allthingsonelove. On both, I start my day sharing Gratitudes, stories of Gratitude and anything related to being Grateful. I’m dead ass serious about my Gratitudes because it keeps me present and accountable for my own energy. I recognize and appreciate the actions, words and energy of others intending me good. By starting my day with Gratitude, I have less MS pain, MS symptoms and MS depression because I’m actively pushing my thoughts towards a positive direction of Gratitude. My relationships with others are stronger because my Grateful ass notices what others do for me, to me, WITH me. *bows* I could go on and on and on and on about the benefits of being purposefully grateful buuuuuut… *whispers* Pssst, you know I wrote about it…

Why I chose THIS to start my day…
My son had the bright idea to do their Gratitude Journals in this fashion. Everyday, they write 5 Gratitudes but ONE has to be a whole paragraph. They sometimes share with each other but not really. I read the entries that they offer when I ask. (I’m trying to treat it kinda secret so they feel it’s important to THEM.) Now, since the entries are part of their allowances, Journals do get “skimmed” buuuut… #YouGetIt
Well, I decided to remix the activity. I miss working with them on stuff because during the first pandemic-related shut down, I was the remote school teacher. Today, they write one reason that they’re grateful for each family member but ONE has to be the full paragraph. Nope, I’m not gonna count sentences or anything but I will be “skimming” to ensure it was taken seriously. *makes money sign with fingers*

1st Young Adult coming home at respectable times. Yoo, I’m still a Daddy so damn right I get worried. She not OUT THERE out there but she out the house, schooling, visiting family in controlled environments and of course, doing WHAT-ever young adults do during a pandemic. I can’t control no covid-19 but it makes my heart waaaaaay lighter when she home.

The Queen had a FULL, Friday night meeting with an OWNER of a remote, school that tailors to the African American experience. *mind blown* On a FRIDAY night so you KNOW it was real.

Kid #4 for keeping ALL my utensils separate from the REST of the eating stuff, salad fork, grapefruit spoon and a single napkin. *sniff*

Kid #3 for putting up her laptop cord! DAWG! That mug STAY tripping me!

Kid #2 for bouncing back with 3 straight, exit quizzes of 100!
