Gratitude Journal Day #84: Wednesday, 12/22/2020

3 personal stories of Gratitude from a King THRIVING despite Primary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis on the eve of a 4 day weekend.

Why keep a Gratitude Journal at all? (This is the saaaaaame intro for every Gratitude Journal entry. It’s here for the newbies to the journey.)

I try to start everyday with a Grateful heart. *duck face* Potna, I ain’t lying. You can check my IG accounts Queen/King. I get a lil raunchy on the Multiple_Sclerosis_Outlaw but I’m calmer, gentle with allthingsonelove. On both, I start my day sharing Gratitudes, stories of Gratitude and anything related to being Grateful. I’m dead ass serious about my Gratitudes because it keeps me present and accountable for my own energy. I recognize and appreciate the actions, words and energy of others intending me good. By starting my day with Gratitude, I have less MS pain, MS symptoms and MS depression because I’m actively pushing my thoughts towards a positive direction of Gratitude. My relationships with others are stronger because my Grateful ass notices what others do for me, to me, WITH me. *bows* I could go on and on and on and on about the benefits of being purposefully grateful buuuuuut… *whispers* Pssst, you know I wrote about it…

Why I chose THIS to start my day…

3.) Cleared my chest yesterday. 👑 #Woooosah *DEEP breath, exhale* So, this is the SHAWT version. I wrote a sterling, sparkling 1-star review. HR showed up a few days later. When HR asked, “What is going on in this class? How do you feel?” Everyone sent a generic message about needing notes. Me? The young, vibrant, disabled homie? I ended up opening up VOCALLY. That sparked a whole jam session of emotions, testimony and debate. Wow! Wait, whoa. The consensus opinion was that my soliloquy got it jumping, popping and damn near out of control. All that’s cool beans until…. *gulp* You realize I’M the snitch or whistleblower in this story! Yes, I’m grateful to have cleared my chest, got it out and I’ll leave it there. *tsk tsk* I’m serious. I’m leaving it THERE.

2.) In-laws did a surprise visit! 🖤🖤 Lemme get a collective *awwwww* AND they brought food. *yaaaaaaaay* AND they gave each grandkid a gift. *jealous yet? 😉😀*

1.) I’m OFF Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday!!! 🎡🎢🎪 Maaaaaaaaaaan, I’m about to CRY with happiness! I haven’t missed a day. Put in 60hr weeks, 50hr weeks, REGULAR OT weeks and this is my FIRST 2-days off since Nov. 11th! *beating chest* THANK YOU UNIVERSE!!! FOR HAVING A JOB. FOR GETTING TIME. FOR OT CHECKS. FOR CONTINUED EMPLOYMENT IN 2021!
