Gratitude Journal Day #135: Monday, 2/15/21

DESPITE the winter storm, no power, house below 60... I am grateful for being off work, having QT with the Fam and...

What I’m GRATEFUL about during a winter storm

3.) We got BOOKS – Bruh. I started reading King Maker in the late summer of 2020. I waited over a YEAR to get it and I scooped the entire 3 book trilogy. Black OR Brown characters? βœ… Black author? βœ… Urban fantasy? βœ… It’s taking forever because I get BUSY. Ohhh. Weeeell. That and it was kinda slow moving but somehow, action packed. I wasn’t putting pieces together nor was I picking up what the author was putting down. Since we had NO power and it was below 60Β° in the house, I plenty of time to read. Paperback books to the rescue for ALL of us. Once I made it to page 220 or so, the light came on. MAN, did it! This mug was good before but now it’s a doggone page turner. I’m SO grateful my Queen makes hardback books and library trips a regular thing around here. My squad was πŸ₯Ά without power during a winter storm but we ALL had something to do.

2.) Valentines was AWESOME What did we do? I proposed. *clears throat* I walked up to her, got on bended knee and popped the question in front of all the kids. Then, I, ME, seasoned and cooked some hot wings for her. She swears my hot wings are her favorite and *pops collar* they probably are. I rarely do them anymore, I’m a Pescatarian, and when I do, it’s always at her request.

1.) POWER CAME BACK – *spreads arm WIIIIIIIIIDE open* Yoo. It was rough. No more winter storms! *please*

Why keep a Gratitude Journal at all? (This is the saaaaaame intro for every Gratitude Journal entry. It’s here for the newbies to the journey.)

I try to start everyday with a Grateful heart. *duck face* Potna, I ain’t lying. You can check my IG accounts Queen/King. I get a lil raunchy on the Multiple_Sclerosis_Outlaw but I’m calmer, gentle with allthingsonelove. On both, I start my day sharing Gratitudes, stories of Gratitude and anything related to being Grateful. I’m dead ass serious about my Gratitudes because it keeps me present and accountable for my own energy. I recognize and appreciate the actions, words and energy of others intending me good. By starting my day with Gratitude, I have less MS pain, MS symptoms and MS depression because I’m actively pushing my thoughts towards a positive direction of Gratitude. My relationships with others are stronger because my Grateful ass notices what others do for me, to me, WITH me. *bows* I could go on and on and on and on about the benefits of being purposefully grateful buuuuuut… *whispers* Pssst, you know I wrote about it…
