Wait… I gotta start with the action!
MOVIE. 👏🏾 OF. 👏🏾 THE. 👏🏾 YEAR. 👏🏾 #micdrop. Y’all, I’m soooo freaking sincere. That mug had our stomachs HURTING from laughter. I’m scared to tell too much and ruin or spoil something so I added a link to the preview. SOME films look awesome but that’s because the preview showed all the good parts. I feared that’s how Bad Trip would go but NAW. I can’t believe so much comedy was in ONE movie! The theme of the movie’s action was stunts & funny stuff were filmed in front of REAL people, no heads up. *mind blown* Tribe, I’m grateful I finally watched it!Movie was so funny it made my April 1st Gratitude Journal!
I’m a fan of both guys comedy. Eric Andre’ is a high volume, big action kind of comedian. He gets RAW in his routines and that means the lines between humor and nasty are blurred. I roll laughing at his stuff. Lil Rel Howry is more reserved and traditional. There’s NOT a bunch of whooping, hollering and running around. I’m a fan of his stuff too because it’s about the content, thought of the joke. On screen, the two play awesome as complimentary pieces. Rel Howrey usually plays a side homie to everyone else but this time, he was much prevalent as the “friend with common sense”. Eric was the crunk guy, talking recklessly and chancing every situation. It worked!
Bruuuh. This is my first consideration for Movie of the Year. Yes, it dropped in 2020 but I just saw it. 🤷🏾♂️ I LOVED the action, crowds of REAL people shocked and bewildered by the antics of the scene. I LOVED how it was a pure comedy, no romance or love elements. The premise was simple than a mug and fit the entire mission of the storytelling. Tiffany Haddish? Playing a bully? 🤔 Yes, please. The outtakes were just as funny! Seeing the REAL people finally being informed that it was a movie kept us rolling as well. 🤣🤣🤣
