5.) 4/20 – *standing in honor* Yoo. I’m grateful for 4/20. I heard about it in high school, started rocking it in college (S/O to the homie St. Louis) and now, I absolutely celebrate it. I don’t work on 4/20 because it’s a rare occasion that I stay sober. *sigh* Good day is here! 🖤 Wait? Huh? Ohhh, you wanna know WHAT is 4/20? Weeeeeell, ok, I’ll tell it. Supposedly, in the 70s, kids would meet at 4:20pm to blaze up. In the 90s, we were chopping it in East Texas but I equated it to “weed-head shit” and I wasn’t a “weed-head”. Now, 25 years later, I proudly rep my Tribe of Cannabis Users. 💨
4.) Getting kids’ passports – No coincidence this occurred on 4/20! Grateful to even DO this and we’re treating it like something BIG too. *rubs hands like an evil, HANDSOME, genius* The plan is coming together. 🤜🏾🤛🏾
3.) Member’s affirmation – “Look here, uhhm, Kendrick. I call in to these different places and phone numbers all the time. I ain’t NEVER talked to nobody that seem as good as you, niiiiice as you is and just so positive. I like you and I had to let you know.” 😇 Yoo, ya boi take his gig serious. I’m here for the members, go the extra mile on just about every opportunity and sincerely enjoy helping. (Helping IS my purpose y’all. 🤝🏾)
2.) External battery has a bottle opener – Yes, I’m back to drinking, DESPITE all the positive evidence my body improves WITHOUT alcohol. 🤷🏾♂️ Now, maybe I shouldn’t be grateful about the bottle opener but I AM. My Queen FOUND one ice cold, Revolver craft beer in the fridge and of course, I accepted. (Only ONE.) “Aww, you don’t have a bottle opener, do you? I’d feel bad giving you this.” 🤴🏾🤣🤣🤣 Guuuuurl, I keep a bottle opener stashed close by for emergency situations just like this.
1.) Zoom’ed with TTWIF – TTWIF is the podcast, That’s The Way I Feel. We haven’t recorded or even MET in over a month because producer and co-host were outta commission. Finally, we were back in the laboratory, cooking in the studio and working our craft again. 🖤👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾🎤
