3.) Chair still works – This is the story. We went to kid #4’s soccer game. (They won. She scored. 👌🏾. However, a wet field dismantled my plans for riding my wheelchair to her game. She pushed me. (I knooooow. What an opening stretch/warmup! 💪🏽) That got my wheels muddy, grassy, everything bad for house floors and carpet. When they tried to clean it, ooooooooo… Alarms screamed water warnings, then shit stopped. I was terrified we broke it but 4 hrs later, it kicked into normal gear and I breathed relief, bowed in thanks and washed off the sweaty fears.

2.) Mom ain’t mad – Maaaaaaan, I MEANT to call. She called me to check if I was good! 🤦🏾♂️. I just got crazy busy doing work I love. I didn’t want to text because that was too impersonal and next thing I know, it was too late. Her acceptance of my story really calmed my nerves and slowed my anxiety. Thank you Mom and I apologize again.

1.) Home safe – Everytime my wife & kids come home safe from anything, I’m grateful. My wife is the ultimate prize for winning life. The feeling, emotions, pride is the real prize but she’s the proverbial trophy. My kids are the most imperfect, accountability coaches. Their well-being forces me into a comfort zone where I can chill and be ever-crunk I’m doing okay. Their well-being validates my efforts to be a good father, responsible citizen. 👑🙏🏽
