What and WHY I'm grateful today. I model this so others learn to put mindset OVER bullshit.

Gratitude stories!

Remember, the difference between being grateful and showing gratitude is the WHY story. As long as you are writing your story of why you’re grateful, you can’t overthink past decisions, wish for the “good, ol’ days”, wonder how much worse your health will or question if anyone else will leave.

6.) He changed the channel – I’m exhausted dealing with a house without A/C. At the same time, I wanna work on the website, keep things consistent, do something other than sweat, wish, want. That’s why J taking it off Sesame Street is a gratitude story. I couldn’t reach remotes, couldn’t concentrate on the gratitude journal, nothing. I didn’t ask; he just did it. Perfect timing homie.

5.) Started with grapes – Starving. I wake up starving. Grapes were a good, healthy snack.

4.) Going with TWO booty cushions – I discovered something useful. I’m having more muscle weakness, spasms, struggling to stay IN the wheelchair. If I remove the booty cushions, the sitting angles change and 💥, less spasticity when moving around. This will help get to the toilet easier too so less chance of accidents. Yes, heat has caused some accidents because I can’t move legs at ALL!

3.) Their Shein came in – The girls of the house, wife & 2 daughters, ordered Shein stuff awhile ago. It JUST arrived. This took their minds off the heat for a few minutes. It changed their whole attitudes, had them smiling instead of complaining about the obvious heat. It’s soooo much easier to be disabled, dependent, when people are happy-ish.

2.) Wife came home – It surprised everyone. She escaped the HOT house and hit the pool then stayed with friends who have A/C. Her coming home that night meant kids got rides to school. (HOT and getting up early is hard on these new kids.) Plus, I feel better when she’s home, making me teas, bringing snacks, tripping on what to watch next.

1.) I’m okay – For the first time since 2nd grade, I fell out the bed. I don’t know how it happened. I’m blaming the heat. Sweating in bed so much I got flushed out. I’m grateful I didn’t seriously hurt myself because that would’ve made my injuries a secondary concern. Ain’t nobody healing without A/C!
