Gratitude Journal Day #184: Monday, 4/5/21

First Monday of a new month is my GO time. I use it to change old habits, kick off FRESH routines and plot on catching my passion. Wellness goals are gonna be about waking up earlier. 🤜🏾🤛🏾🖤

New week, new Gratitudes. New day, New Gratitudes. New focus, New Gratitudes. Y’all get it?

3.) Pops took the kids to church – Aight, for SOME parents, church means an opportunity to dress up. For others, it’s about the spiritual connection. For ME, it gives my Dad a chance to flaunt his grandkids and spoil them by himself. They stop at favorite stores, candy, snacks, drinks AND come home stories. None of this was pre-planned, yet the kids loved it and had big fun rolling with their Poppi. Of course, I’m grateful he took them but I’m also grateful they all wanted to go, nobody had to be fussed at about getting ready and nobody got in trouble while they were out. 😑 (NO parent wants to hear their kids were misbehaving with the grandparents!)

2.) We made the appointment! – We were an HOUR late for the Queen’s 2nd COVID-19 vaccination. Still, unlike vaccination #1, there were NO lines, NO long waits, NO crowds of coughing people and we were hour late. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 The pharmacy employees were calling folks to initiate more business and make sure people got the 2nd dose. So far, so good with the Queen. Funny story. Some dudes in a truck, other patrons, loved my Disabled AF T-shirt. They were rolling in laughter and even offered to help me load my wheelchair in the vehicle. 🤜🏾🤛🏾

1.) Home SAFE & sound – 🖤🖤🖤. Can’t overlook it, I don’t drive at all. I’m pretty sure I feel asleep a few times too. SHE does all the driving for the SQQUUUUAD, got us home safe and we even made it home on time to see more Family before bedtime!
